• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Butt hurts...

New member
After 400 mile ride yesterday. Three other Brotherhood members and a passenger left 10:30 yesterday morning on a ride to Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks. Got back home at 11:00 last night. Beautiful weather. A little chilly when we got there. About 55 degrees compared to 82 back at home. Two Harleys, one Kawasaki and my RTS. One of the guys is doing the Tour of Honor ride and had to get a picture at the Wright Brothers Memorial on Kitty Hawk.

I've got to get a better seat. I know what's available but there's this nagging thing called money.

2 choices. A new seat or a new butt. New seats are easier to find and less expensive than the butt option!

Seat Pad??

Whew!!!! Tough decision!! Have you considered looking into some sort of gel pad or the like? From what I've heard, they present a comfortable and inexpensive alternative. Just a thought.

Stop walking down the stairs. Bounce down on your butt. After 2 weeks of bouncing you will be able to ride 800 miles and still feel good. There is not a money back guarantee on this suggestion.:roflblack::roflblack:

:agree: with Chris... although I personally liked it. But my wife LOVES hers.
I recently tried using bicycle padded shorts. I have been trying to get back into bicycle, so I wore a pair back and forth from Springfield and they actually helped me.

SEAT

My butt also hurt with the stock seat. Switched to an Ultimate seat but no improvement. Went to a beadrider but still no relief. Finally tried an Airhawk cushion and sheepskin cover. Bingo!! That did the trick!

I use one of these cheap enough to try out

See my Private Message for my phone number and a link to some pics of how I solved that problem. You'll still spend a few hundred dollars, but not near the price of a new & untested saddle.

An Airhawk or gel/sheepskin pad can come in handy if you don't actually change the seat on the RT. Less than $100 (some way less). I have custom seats, but still need the pads from time to time.

I heard about that one Ron. I admire you for that one. Say, wasn't there someone else along on that ride or am I thinking of another Smokey and the Bandit ride?

I checked at our local WM and they don't have anything in the way of what has been shown. I have some good ideas and suggestions. Going to look in to all of them.
