• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Blown out Hindle

While on my way back from Sturgis my Hindle blew out pretty bad. Here's some pics. In addition to the shield rivets being loose like many others have had, you can see the body rivets came loose too.

I put about 24,000 miles on this Hindle.

I really like the looks and the sound, but if they're only good for 24K --- no thanks......

HMF is on now---- will post pics and info.....

I have seen mufflers look like that (or worse) when excessive backfiring occurs.nojoke

I do ride pretty hard--- and use engine braking often.....

Not sure what the manufacturer rates the life expectancy at.

As with anything---- YMMV.

Another thing I like about the HMF is you can send it to them and they'll repack for $35.

well you did it yourself so suck it up. Nothing will last doing 100 mph for 20 minutes or so you claim over time.. glad you changed your avatar, your other one was really offensive.

Feeling sick yet??? :roflblack:

I hear tomorrow you may come down with something.....:roflblack:
Yea we had heavy rain here today & my work had a charity bbq So between the cold from the rain and undercooked burger, work is out of the question for friday [but rumor has it i might be eating pizza with Someguy friday nite] :coffee:

Perfect oppertunity to repaint or even chrome before repack. I wonder if BEST would cover such item???:dontknow:

Anybody contact Hindle to find out about a rebuild?

I have 28,000 on my hindle and it is still going strong... Although I have not experienced excessive backfires either....

There is another thread on here where the OP is trying to work through his dealer to get something done about his Hindle problems. All the rivets are very loose at only 500 miles.

I think they should cover him on that with such low mileage.

Mine-- no way would I even try to get it covered under warranty.....

:agree:

You got 24K on yours already, and they may just laugh out loud at you. Your new HMF looks pretty darn good though.
