I have had a lot going on in my life over the past couple of years and really did not ryde my Spyder much at all last year. Those who know me realize that this is very out of character for me. They also know that I always carry a can of Original Bike Spirits and microfiber cloths everywhere I go, and can be found wiping down my Spyder at the end of every ryde. Many have made jokes about it stating that I may be a bit obsessive compulsive when it comes to keeping my Spyder clean. So, while many of you new members who don't know me may think this isn't that bad, those who have met me will likely know that things got a bit out of hand. I am hoping for a much better 2013 and looking forward to putting more miles on my Spyder starting with attending SpyderFest this year.
My Spyder actually sat parked under the carport for so long that I had to check it for mice nests or any chewed wiring before I could begin doing anything else. So far it actually looks good, but I look into it more as I get deeper into working on some new changes I plan to make to it. I have had it on and off a trickle charger for a while, more off than on, and thought my battery might be shot, but a couple days on the charger and it appears to be good to go. I will find out for sure when I go to crank it again later today.
The following pictures show what my Spyder looked like when I first rolled it out of the carport. As I stated earlier, some of you will not think this is that bad while others will wonder how I ever let it get to this point.
