• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just can not see taking that much "stuff" on a trip ever. You might want to beef up the rear springs if you fill all that space up. Or One: show you how to pack. Or two: explain to you what you really need for a trip.
:joke:

Since most motels now have a washer and dryer, three days worth of clothes should be sufficient. Drip dry under garments can be rinsed in the sink and ready to wear in the morning.

They do look good but maybe a little large for the F3 unless your going to be running "moonshine" across state lines.
:joke: Just funen ya!

My purpose is to not use a trailer and NOT have permanent luggage attached when I'm not on a long ride.. My Elkas were delivered last week and will be more than adequate for added weight / I'm not a bowling ball smuggler 😎 These luggage pieces have a combined weight that is less than the stock rear fender and cat that I removed... As for what to pack or how to pack and travel,,, I have more than 800,000 miles of traveling on two wheels so I've done THIS dance many times.. My reasoning for posting the price is:: I would personally rather spend what I spent and do a little fab work than buy the BRP wallet sized luggage and be disappointed every time I went and got anything more than the mail... I also wanted something that once powder coated the bracket system will go on n come off in one piece and have no brackets hanging off it when the luggage is not attached..

Looks factory to me

Nicely done. You do quality work! Should make for some enjoyable trips.

that looks great, any chance you will produce the brackets for us less handy individuals ?
I like the look of those bags as well, will they hold a full face helmet?
thanks,
DJ

Rather curious about the trunk, could fit the ST? Note you made all 3 bags fit. Cheaper than BRP offers for just the top case.:yikes:nojoke & not barely but by quite a bit. Fyi:firstplace:

That looks like a very functional looking combination and very attractive. It looks like an original set of accessories, well done! How does it feel riding it around, do you get much buffeting or turbulence?

All of them hold a full face helmet.. I will not be producing the brackets but will give a list of all required hardware to do it... Would have done that already but we're very busy at work...

The luggage is from Givi and you can mount them to anything

Thank you!!! I don't understand how you would think buffeting would be an issue but I assure you it's not.. It rides fine..

I think you did a great job. I can barely get my leather jacket in the BRP bags. When you get ready to post the list of parts used I'll be writing it down for myself.

Spyderjim and Guzzi have already done this but use different luggage...

I am really impressed with your construction. I love my RT but the bags are odd sized and small and have small weight limits. You have come up with a very good solution. I guessing from your comment that others have used this system but maybe with different sized bags? And how elegant that you brought it all in for less the BRP sells one bag for.

Congratulations

You have been able to take an F3 and add the storage of an RT. A+ for creativity. Two thumbs up.

I have fitted panniers to many different motorcycles, Krauser, Craven, Shoei, Polaris and more some have had their effects on handling, but it is a learning process.
Thanks for posting, congrats on adding extra storage. I for one am looking forward to seeing your set up.

They both use Givi luggage but different models... SpyderJim has a thread with some very useful info.. I loved my RT but wanted something a LOT lighter that I could put luggage on when I needed it and take it off when I don't... I'm very happy now😎
