• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How are you listening to music? I am looking for a setup that could be used without any data as there are many places I would ride without signal.

Depends..!

there are many ways..I have a Scala G9 intercom unit which you can plug in an mp3 player. Some use there phone music or mp3 player with buds. Depends on what you have now. If you have sound system installed many have sirrus satillite radio.....

Here's the thing..!!

Many of the headsets used like chatterbox sena scala have radios with mostly FM but in the hill country backriads reception is not good. Thats why they all have a plug in for mp3 or other music players...

I use bluetooth speakers in my helmet, and pair it with my iPhone. My U-Clear 200 unit gets about nine hours on a charge and is easily charged in the trunk on the cig lighter. The sound is much better than the Spyder's speakers and doesn't bother those around you.

Be sure to set your fuses so that you can use the charger while the bike is off. Info on doing that is in the instruction manual.

There are other choices of bluetooth speakers, and while I like mine I would look at several options. Expect to spend about $200 new.

You can also leave the phone in the trunk charging, just get a USB adapter that has two outlets. This is very inexpensive and has a low profile in the trunk making it hard to knock and break:

XM radio, or an IPod; when the FM isn't running full volume!

Sena SMH10

My Sena set lets me talk to my wife, listen to a music app on my phone, listen to an MP3 player or an FM radio, and let's me bluetooth to a music filled memory card in my Garmin Zumo 550 GPS. Lots of options.

I use UCLEAR plus my iPhone and Spotify. Spotify lets you sync playlists to the phone so you don't need to use data while you're out to stream music. Love Spotify.
