• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Music for my 2010 RT

I have a 2010 RT SM5:yes: with no speakers, audio, nothing. Any ideas to add some tunes to my ride?

First check with .... cheapcycleparts.com .... and find out how much the radio and speaker parts are going to cost ( new stuff ) .... then see what you can buy from a salvage co. ....... your left handle controls may be the same as what were on all the RT's that year. I'm almost certain the wiring harness will be the same ..... as far as BRP is concerned making different ones isn't financially wise ..... good luck ..... Mike .... OK I looked for your parts ..... the radio module isn't available anymore .... I couldn't find the handlebar controls .... the speakers and antennae are available but using aftermarket speakers would be the best way to go ( aftermarket is way less money and the quality is 3 x's as good )

I'd recommend skipping the bike altogether and go with a helmet based bluetooth system. Most of them allow you to use the an mp3 player or ipod connected directly with wires or bluetooth. I think that will be easier, less expensive and the sound is better since it's directly in your helmet.

Here's another idea....leave the bike alone and use your phone, or an mp3, iPod, etc...for music. My wife and I listen to our own music with our own phones. We use bluetooth earbuds. I really like this setup because 1. I listen to what I want to and she does too. 2. I can play the music low or high in volume without annoying everyone around me. 3. I can still hear the bike just as easily. 4. I know when someone is trying to get a hold of me on my phone. I DO NOT use the phone as a phone while riding. If I wanna call/talk to someone I stop to do so. Our earbuds are just for listening, no microphone. Lastly, we can still talk to each other on the bike if we're riding together. Normally she's on her Ryker

Forget the Spyder radio system. Go with a Bluetooth setup. You will get better sound and you can pair to your wife's unit and talk to each other as you ride. I think it will be much less expensive for you.

Ok I got 2 speakers for $25 ( i used them b4) a Bluetooth amp for $15. I don't like the sound right in my ear; headphones or earbuds, just in case of an emergency vehicle trying to get by. Oh and no wife.
