• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

drove around 13.000 mls with my GS - most in the alps with my wife on the back .. got problems with my arms after a longer weekend never with my feet - now with the RT ( 12.000 mls) I always get a thigh muscle strain ..
had a longer weekend trip with my son and didn`t feel anything in the last days .. but now my thighs really pains ..

any ideas if I make something false on the RT ? - no joke

I have recently been experiencing the same problems. I have a Corbin seat. I started by putting a sheepskin pad under me and taking the rubber pieces off the drivers footpegs-- to raise my seating position about an inch and give me a little more stretch.

That worked a little--but I still needed to get off the bike and stretch about every 50 miles.

As of yesterday, I installed some Seal floorboards--which allow me to move my feet around and change positions. I did an initial test ride of 35 miles last night--and the cramping seemed less. I am going to take them for a long ride this weekend and see what happens.

I will watch the post for other ideas too. I used to be able to ride out the gas tank before stopping--but the past 6 months have been pretty bad for me.

Your discomfort may be a result of your inability to move your feet around. I was experiencing a lot of tingling in my old legs before I installed Seal floorboards. Now my comfort level has increased dramatically. There are other alternatives, as you know, but the Seals don't spread my legs too far apart as others would.

Ditto with my ISCIs. They have 4 different mounting heights, and I set mine in the lowest position in order to stretch out just a bit. I do think that the SEALS give you more room fore and aft though. They are also an excellent choice.

Update: I managed to put a couple hundred miles on since installation. I experienced way less discomfort than before. It looks like they are going to work for me.

I do have one complaint--I am going to put an additional inch of rubber between the footpeg and top of the brake pedal. I do not like how low the brake pedal sits in relation to the floorboards with just the seal grommets installed. Anyone else have ideas about this.

I too didn't feel comfortable with how low my brake pedal felt with the Seal boards so I built up the pedal so that the top of the pedal remains above the surface of the floorboard. I'd provide a picture, but my RTS has been in the shop since last Monday to try and solve a new CB problem.

It's been a while since I installed my 'Boards... But I think that the link that hooks the pedal to the rest of the system is threaded... :dontknow:

i put 4 washers under where the brake pedral bolts on to rase the pedale that comes through the board, and i also put a eletric out let on the board to rase my heal up so i could lift my foot up easerer to apply the brake .look at the picture.

I needed a heal rest, too. After some experimentation I secured a hockey puck to the board.
