RT - Rear Mud Flap
I was not happy that the rear mudguard of my Spyder RT -S did not cover the rear tyre far enough down allowing water to spray up
I could not find an after market Rear Mud Flap so desgned my own
I used a piece of Rubber 1/4" Thick - 12" Long and 9" wide - The rubber had cord running through it - Which makes it stronger
less likely to tear or split - The rubber was smooth on one side and rough on the other (Due to the cord running through it)
I fitted it with the smooth side on the outside allowing water and dirt to be easier to wash off
I fixed it with 3 Stainless Steel Nuts. Bolts and Washers underneath the Number plate - On the inside I used a piece of Stainless Steel sheet
4" long about 9" wide trimmed to fit just inside the number plate holder - This braces the rubber sheet and stops it flapping about and getting
caught against the rear tyre
Whilst at it I also added a rear reflector angled to been seen by following Riders, Drivers etc
If you just stick a rear reflector on it it points upwards ok for Helicopters, Planes but no use for following Riders & Drivers
Ive posted some photos as this may help explain the above
