• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting ready to leave to go get Ms Spyder ...dealer called Sat afternoon and said FINALLY she runs like the great machine she is. I will let you know what is on the work order besides new battery, O2 sensor, plugs...there were a couple other hiccups they told me, I don't remember those things...my standard response is hmmmmm just fix it...
Just checked the mountain pass report...Blewett is "bare and wet, frost & ice in places. Light snow. Snoqualmie is "bare & wet, snow & slush in places. Light snow" So I should be headed back over them after picking Ms Spyder up shortly after noon...things will, hopefully, improved...actually current condition I can handle...so better get my "survival" kit :yikes: (seriously I go nowhere without one..what goes in depends on time of year) tweeked. I Remember how my kids used to roll their eyes and say how ridiculous packing that STUPID bag was....guess who all have them now!!!!

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Don't make me come down there to get this report. :lecturef_smilie: :roflblack::roflblack:

Home again Home again

Left home about 7:30 a.m. just got in house 4:45 pm...had a safe ryde....altho the rain, snow and slush makes for one very dirty Spyder and ryder...

OK work order:
Battery and install.
O2 sensor
Spark plugs
Hose breather (:roflblack::roflblack: is that anything like a nose breather!!)
Valve check
Code 10-35
+ labor....

Yea for BEST warranty. other than battery and labor connected with that (total $222.42) my cost $50..
She purrs like a kitten. and is in the garage...dirt and all...
Thanks all for checking on me...headed for shower and hot coffee and fuzzy jammies :thumbup:

I'm glad that you got Spydee back and the price was right. I'm surprised that the valve check was included in the warranty.

I see your service included a valve check. For future reference, would you post how many miles it was done at and whether or not it needed any shims or adjustments. Thanks in advance.

69K...needed NOTHING!!!!!

Thank you murphybrown: I did my first when recommended, 12K miles on the 2008. The second one on the 2010 at 28K miles, and both did not need any adjustment. Each time I dropped about $800 bucks. The dealer mechanic messed up the job on the 2010 and failed to replace gaskets, causing oil to leak over everything. The job needed to be re-done, but the dealer covered that cost in full.

I think that I will let the 42K recommended one go as well as the 56K one.

:yes: All's well that ends well!:yes: It was good to hear that you made it home safe and sound and not to much lighter in the purse!:roflblack:

Meant To Be

Being the optimist that I know you are, now you know your Spyder has been checked, tuned and ready for Spyderfest. This was better than not starting on the first day of your trip:yes:
