There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Most Harleys don't wave anymore

I’m use to it, I rode a scooter for 10 years, still have it and still commute with it. You get no respect on those things but still love the little guy.
I ride this all the time, and i wave at everybody, even cars:D

I see no one on the Harley forum "bashing" Spyders or their owners. In fact I see no mention of it at all. Why does everyone here continue bashing Harleys and Harley owners. They bought their Harley's because they wanted to be a part of "that" "group". You bought your Spyder because you wanted to be a part of this group. Stop whining. Buy a Harley or Triglide and I am sure you will get waved at more.

Just like Lydia used to say, You want your cake and eat it too. Attitudes like this on this forum is what separates and divides the Motorcycle Community. Pitting one group against the other will accomplish nothing. This is a fairly new group and riding machine. Be respectful and treat all two and three wheelers the same if you want to gain respect for yourself and this new group. Harley's have been around since 1903. That's 112 years. Spyders have been around since 2008. That's only seven years. We have a lot of catching up to do! This is a guess, but I would Venture to say there are more Harleys in the world than all the other bikes combined. We are definitely in the minority and certainly newcomers on this scene. I have owned and ride'n most all brands of bikes but for my money nothing beats a Ultra Classic for comfort, speed and reliability. As we all know there comes a time when health and age begins to dictate what we ride and the Spyder certainly fills the bill and allows us to ride beyond our normal riding days. Don't be bitter about it and take it out on another group. My hat is off to those younger riders who chose the Sypder by choice and not from physical dictations.

This soap box is getting so high, I might need a ladder to get down.:joke:

Jack

Heh Jack I think you are wrong on one thing here....I doubt most of us bought a Spyder to be "part of this group". ! ;) I am sure we had valid reasons though why we got a Spyder. The Harley guys....yeah...I could see them buying a Harley to be part of that "group". :doorag:

I dont care what you ride....we are all on 2-3 wheels...nothing wrong with a little love wave now and then. There does seem to be some arrogance with some Harley owners. Read my other post above how one of my best friends changed.

I use to have a Honda ST1300...another owner (ST forum) posted that he pulled into a restaurant where some Harley guys had just dis-mounted....he went to get off his bike and due to being a gravel parking lot...he slipped and the 800 lb. bike fell on top of him. Did they help....no...they laughed, left him there and went into the restaurant.

Like some said......cant we all just get along ? Some biker love !:thumbup::yikes:

Oh....I have had a lot of bikes too. Never a Harley but if I did; it would be a V-Rod and I would not "turn" like my friend did.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy the wind in your face !:yes:

Meh...never understood the obligation to wave at fellow bikers anyway. I sure as heck don't wave to every car I meet...I don't ever expect a wave, nor do i initiate a wave most of the time. The few times that I have initiated the wave to a Harley rider, I got nuttin' back...LOL...nuttin" I say. But to contradict myself, I always wave like this  to my fellow Spyder riders....(the very few that I meet here in southern WI). My thoughts on the wave....clear as mud now.

Had a first on this subject last night, my wife and I were out for a little ride to get some dinner on the way we passed 4 what appeared to be Harleys both of us doing our normal wave. We received 2 no waves, 1 wave and 1 thumbs down. Guess there as a AXX in every crowd.

Wave?

I just throw them them the "peace sign"...old habits die hard...

(In NC everyone waves even if they are walking and you're in or on a vehicle.)

Agree

:agree: I ride with a group on Wednesdays which is made up of about 35 Harleys, 5 BMW's, 2 Spyders, and 1 Victory. We enjoy riding - period!!
They are the kindest, nicest people I ride with. No negatives to me or anyone who does not own a Harley - great guys and gals! Once you know the people (for the most part), it all comes together and people just enjoy the ride. They ask good questions about my Spyder and I ask good questions about their Harleys and BMWs - very respectful large group of folks. BTW, I still wave to all on motorcycles, their choice to wave back! The ones that don't wave, it's their issue, not mine.

Many Harley riders still wave to me, I'd say the majority of the ones I encounter. I even had a Harley guy pull up next to me at a light and rave about my Spyder. Most of the people I ride with are on Harleys, and they all love my Spyder and congratulate me on my decision.

I've been riding Hondas and a Victory for 38 years and have found that there is a certain Harley owner mindset that tells them not to give respect to any rider that chooses other than a Harley. This is a small minority, and I really don't give a rats ass if they wave to me or not.

Went for a ride with my son yesterday and had a guy on a sportbike flip me the bird as we went by.....hahaha..
I didn't even notice it but my son caught it. We had a good laugh about it. Still makes me chuckle that a couple of people on a spyder can aggrivate someone SO much, with only a simple wave!
