• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That was funny about the dude's shirt!

The brake squeal is at the top of the list. Can you imagine if evry vehicle sounded like this one when it comes to a stop? The Spyder is now on it's second year and we still have the same problem.
As I said about the SE5's, BRP needs to step up and take responsibility!
(Getting off of the soap box)

I am fanatical about checking and changing oil in all my vehicles. I am used to checking it before I ride, with the engine cool, and just looking through a sight glass, or popping the hood. Having to wait until it's warm and then fighting with those BeJesus clips, just to check the oil is a bit annoying, as well as having to pull all those panels off to change it.

:agree:I feel like I have to take it apart to just check the oil.

Yeah, it would have been so easy for them to put in a sight glass and a peep hole, wouldn't it?
-Scotty

Now THAT would have been a great idea. No need to take her upright off of the kick stand either.
I wish the parking brake was just a little longer so I could engage/disengage it while seated. I am thinking i will lengthen it just about another inch or two.

Yes----

Anyone else have an annoyance?

People that know all about Spyders without ever riding one. They are right up there with the "I used to ride but had to lay one down to AVOID an accident!" people.

I agree that the oil checking is a pain. More annoying than the scrolling safety message or the brake squeal (which my dealer has fixed using BRP's recommended procedure).

I have to agree, it is very irritating to speak with "onlookers" that know it all, especially when they have negative remarks. That doesn't happen often but when it does, it just grinds me.

I can't decide between the women at every stop light with their constant barrage of under garments and house/hotels keys or the european supermodels that stand out in front of my house 24/7.

My thing is the way the braking system slows me down when I am going around the curves in the mountain. It feels like I have a baby sitter.:banghead:

I find my body position just as extreme as a track bike when enjoying technical areas and sweeping curves at an expedient pace...I'm only limited by the reach of my outside arm. The braking system doesn't activate once you find the groove. It reminds me of sidecar racing for one or catamaran sailing.
