• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going along with the discussion of HD CEO being out are these comments from Goldwing Docs.

Motorcycle Consumer News has shut down as of 2/1/2020. https://goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=55512 & http://www.mcnews.com/.

Aspen Trailers has ceased production as of 1/1/2020. https://goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=55551 & https://www.facebook.com/aspenqualitytrailers/

From news comments Levatich was fired, as in, "The Board and Matt mutually agreed that now is the time for new leadership at Harley-Davidson."

Sorry to see that Motorcycle Consumer News is no more. I subscribed for a couple years. I liked the magazine a lot...but it no longer covered my MC interests.

I just received the latest issue of Rider and in it is a touring article with featuring a Spyder. What with MC sales declining and Spyder sales increasing, MC magazines would be wise to feature Spyders more.

:agree: x 2. Rider is now the only MC magazine that I am subscribed to.

It might be wrth our while to write to to Rider mentioning that fact. I'd point out that MC sales are declining because the riders are aging out and the youngsters are shunning MCs. Many who are aging out of MCs are switching to Spyders and this is a group that Rider would be unwise to ignore because it is a far more solvent demographic.
The more proficient I get with my Spyder, the more boring I find two wheelers.

I also subscribe to Rider but will probably let my subscription lapse. Years ago it used to be dedicated touring magazine but now it is trying to a "one size fits all" publication for motorcyclists in general. Just doesn't work for me anymore. There's just too many online information sources to bother with a monthly magazine these days. JMHO.

RICZ, Re post #7 sure agree with you on I'd like to read more about touring on the RT, I do believe it would be interesting, so I will be looking for that article in the next issue. Rider is the only M/C mag I get too, but it's all over the lot with their coverage, but I do look forward to the Spyder article, and wil give them credit. Maybe it means that the Spyder is becoming 'more noticeable' as it become more popular.

Just got my monthly copy. The Spyder touring article is right in my neighborhood. They show a ride map. yesterday we did the eastern portion covering Jasper and North. Today we went to Eureka Springs. Was not busy today...but give it a couple weeks. Reminds me a lot of the Branson Strip.

A great day to ride here...75 degrees or so.

Just got my Rider, be reading it tonight. Reckon 'Rider' picked the the right article, and the Spyder 'ryder' picked the right territory.....

I used to subscribe to several magazines, but I am now down to Rider, Road Rider, and AMA Motorcyclist. I read Rider for the general motorcycle news, Road Rider for the touring news, and the AMA magazine for the governmental news that affects us all.
