• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

More daylight

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
:yes::yes::yes::yes: ….. remember next week Sunday March 8 will give most of the country one hour longer daylight. So Sat. night change your clocks one hour ahead, so you will be on time Sunday ...:clap::clap::clap: ………… Mike :ohyea:

The amount of daylight in a 24 hour period would be exactly the same if they left the clocks alone or if they moved them ahead one hour.

I for one wish they would leave the time alone. Either way is fine for me, just set it and leave it there.

Personally, I don't mind the 2x/year clock change. That said, I'd much rather set the clock ahead the one hour and leave it.

Wouldn't matter to me either way. I worked nights or shift work most of my life. The time changes were nothing more than an annoyance. Now I am retired and I don't pay much attention to what time it is anyway. I wouldn't care if we all went on Zulu time.

Washington State voted to go to Daylight savings time last year. The Governor signed the bill. :ohyea:
Did you know...……... it can't be done unless CONGRESS approves it ?????????:bowdown:
And naturally it's not even in their "action list" :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Coming from AK where the day/night thing is a whole different ballgame...

I now like the DST. At the moment, it gets dark/black by 6:30 ish. Given another week, it will be closer to 8:00 PM--with the change over. As they said above, more daylight, more time to ride.

Not a fan of nighttime riding because of the eyesight and the possibility of hitting critters.

Don't miss the AK scenario though. I like to go to sleep when its dark outside.

Zulu time would be fine and now that i'm retired I don't even give a you know what, day it is. Every day now for me is Saturday, or it could be Sunday or whatever. But I only ride on weekends. LOL

Wish I could find the cartoon but can't. Indian standing in full headdress.

"Only man from Washington think he could cut foot off top of blanket and sew it on the bottom to have a longer blanket"

Well if it's that important …. there are still places in the USA that don't have " daylight savings time ":clap::clap: ….. Mike :ohyea:

Third shift here. Didn't care what the Daywalkers did then and I care even less since I retired.

This is true, and when you trying to call a supplier in one of those places, you have to check the Internet to see what time they open compared to the rest of the time zone. Arizona comes to mind........... with the exception of the Navaho Reservation.
