Moon Township explosion!

There was a house in Moon Township, just outside of Pittsburgh, that blew up yesterday, no one was home, but the two dogs that were there had to be put down because of their injuries. The reason I'm posting this, the house was right behind my sister's house. Her house was only slightly damaged, as were a couple of other houses in the neighborhood. Amazing how things like this happen.

Any ideas what caused the explosion? I know of someone who went out of her house to tell the work crew working nearby that she smelled gas, then went back in. Not long later the house blew up with her and her baby inside. Tragic.

They're still investigating, but think it was a gas leak. I've only seen one other house go like this one, but it was vacant, and somehow the gas got turned on with no valves to stop it.
