Ha anyone else had trouble striping the splines out of the sproket,I have striped 2 sprokets in less than 2500 miles
I'll verify that!welcome I have not had any trouble with mine.. About 4K on the sprocket.. I can tell you this, I'm not real hard on my spyder though, I'm thinking if you are hard on take offs its not going to last long.. Just my 2 cents worth.. I think I've only did a small burn out since I've had the spyder otherwise again, I treat mine pretty easy..

I'm not so sure this is a fare assessment of the gear, we all know how HARD Doc is on his spyder.. Ha Ha..

Wolfen!! Ouch! That looks bad. Just not sure I would be able to trust these sprockets; they don't seem tough enough.
Besides, what I REALLY want is 6th gear!![]()
Agreed..

I wouldn't trust one of those sprockets------ heck the OEM ones even have problems------ switching to an aluminum one will only make things worse.....
If ya have to baby it to use the thing--- why bother?

TWO CENTS..
I think the big problem cause failure is using the tranny as a brake from upper speeds rather than disk brakes..
