• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wondering: my owner's manual says three modes "eco, sport and rally" so what mode is "eco off?" What does it do? Tried it today and could not discern any difference.:dontknow:

I believe the manual says it is like a "regular" mode. All the nanny stuff works but without the gas savings.

I found that the Eco Mode shows a different pattern for shifting than what I prefer, since I am still new to the whole CanAm Spyder am willing to try using Eco shifting coach vs my own preference and see which one gets better mileage and so on.

Have you used Rally mode on roads too? I am trying to decide between 900 and 900 Rally. Big difference is Rally mode and shocks. I was looking for someone who has the Rally to tell me the rider experience on both roads and dirt. Rally mode vs Sport. thanks!

You must have confused Ryker with Spyder; the Ryker has NO shifting pattern, is twist and hang on. Maybe the Spyders have "Eco shifting coach".

I decided on Rally due to fairly minimum price difference (once you add the Max Mount.) If you have no desire to have a top box or passenger seat, the the 900 Ace might be best for you. I also plan on riding some dirt roads so the better suspension, wheels, guards, etc moved me to the Rally. I really doubt there is a great deal of difference between Sport and Rally mode, just a bit more relaxation of the VSS.

It's been my experience that rally mode shuts the VSS off totally. I've just used it to get through deep sand. Wouldn't want to use it on the street!
