I can't say enough about the tight-knit group of SpyderLovers here in Missouri. The hospitality and generosity of the collective is impossible to compare.
There have been several testimonials of this (most on this forum) and yesterday was another example.
The group collectively organized to meet and ride in the Independence Day Parade in Cabool, MO. We had a great time participating and just meeting and visiting.
Ricky Len (SpyderLover Supreme and Cowtown USA Superstar) arranged for a visit to the Piney Ridge Ranch (http://pineyridgeranch.com) at the open invitation of another new SpyderLover family, Marvin Francis and his wonderful wife. They were wonderful hosts to the pitbull buggy, BumbleBee, Mo Lee, xpeschon, jaanpla, mike, Sparkie, and spouses and kids. We toured their property, lodge, and home, swam, BBQ’d, and had a great afternoon of camaraderie. Others may chime in about the driving tour of the ranch. Unfortunately, I missed it as I had to depart early.
jaanpla had a minor problem with his Spyder (08 RS) he explains on another thread http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20861, that had the potential to put a real damper on the day. But once again the "crew" came through, led by Ricky Len (the pitbull buggy), co-Rock Starring xpeschon and Mo Lee.
jaanpla's Spyder was disabled 145 miles from home. the pitbull buggy had ridden out on one of his RTS's from Cowtown USA. He loaned his RTS to jaanpla for the ride home the pitbull buggy rode home on four wheels (bummer). There was absolutely no obligation for him to do this, as jaanpla's Spyder was purchased from a third party. xpeschon offered to pick the RTS the following day and return it to Cowtown USA. Mo Lee and his wife escorted jaanpla most of his way home to ensure safe arrival. The generosity (in light of the risk) is astounding! jaanpla's spyder was picked up and towed to Coutown USA, where if the insurance company doesn't total it (fingers crossed) the expert, supreme beyond compare, Spyder techs, will have it back on the road in short order, with a silver lining.
Mo Lee's trip home http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20862
Before I wind up writing a book, my recommendation to anyone thinking seriously about buying a Spyder is; first move to Missouri, second visit Cowtown USA.
Thanks to everyone who joined us. Thanks again to Marvin and his wife for hosting us. Looking forward to next time. Happy and safe ryding. :doorag:
