Me thinks it's more than just opening up a post and not finding it to ones sensibilities. If that were the case, a reasonable person would close out and move on the the next post. Most people do it all the time, I certainly do. there seems to be little logic in continuing to follow a thread that bothers you sooo much, that you eventually feel a need to inject your own post, that expresses your displeasure in its content. What's the point?

I follow posts that I may not like, just to see a counterpoint. Why not? For example, the most recent one that seemed to get quite a few members hackles up was the football player. I actually thought it was a waste of time, for those that were irate b/c he didn't stand, to get their blood pressure up. Does that mean that only those that agreed with the original post should have followed it? But, I guess we could squabble over what a reasonable person is.
I say, read what you want and post what you want, whether negative or positive. If you don't like a post, and you want to continue to follow and comment, go for it.
If you're trying to start up another Pissing match over Politics: stop right now! :lecturef_smilie:Its interesting that this was not even an issue that was debated 8 years ago. What Happened?

We're having enough fun fighting over the right to carry!![]()
While I was glad to hear that a cop was present to take down the perp, it is not a solution to have a bunch of armed people opening fire in a mall. I would bet that there would have been a lot more people hurt or killed the from stray bullets. Leave the job to the professionals, not wanna be dirty Harrys.
Seems everyday I wish Lamont would just ditch this off topic crap section...More than enough places to find it if needed.
IF that off duty cop hadn't of been there would you like to have your wife wait the 10-15 minute response time for the police to show up? :yikes: Don't worry: we won't tell her that you said this!I only have an ex, so, I'll say yes, if it were only her waiting.

But Canada and the United States DO have some differences in how things get done

You're not serious; are you?
