• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MN. mall attack and stabings

i am not posting this to say it is terrorism or to bash anyone, i am posting this just to prove a point, that more qualified people need to carry guns. the perp was taken down by a off duty police officer, lucky he was there, and lucky he had his gun with him. if the officer wasn't there, many more people could of been hurt or killed

I follow posts that I may not like, just to see a counterpoint. Why not? For example, the most recent one that seemed to get quite a few members hackles up was the football player. I actually thought it was a waste of time, for those that were irate b/c he didn't stand, to get their blood pressure up. Does that mean that only those that agreed with the original post should have followed it? But, I guess we could squabble over what a reasonable person is.

I say, read what you want and post what you want, whether negative or positive. If you don't like a post, and you want to continue to follow and comment, go for it.

I am in favor of anything that can prevent that tragedy from happening, i would have no problem violating the civil rights
of the perp rather then jeopardize the life of a victim.
i am happy the lslamic terrorist is dead & only he.

The only thing I like is to ride my :ani29::spyder2: :yes:. There's is no end who got the biggest. largest, etcetera packages.
 
While I was glad to hear that a cop was present to take down the perp, it is not a solution to have a bunch of armed people opening fire in a mall. I would bet that there would have been a lot more people hurt or killed the from stray bullets. Leave the job to the professionals, not wanna be dirty Harrys.

i do agree with you, but i have found that i calm down when i would carry my gun. i have thought about it becoming a western type shoot out, but with training before receiving a CCW permit, i am sure they can weed out the people that don't deserve or should no carry a gun

IF that off duty cop hadn't of been there would you like to have your wife wait the 10-15 minute response time for the police to show up? Not me.

No Bob, that was said to drive home a point.

To me, the only people that should be carrying a gun are those that have specific training for this. While some would say that they go shooting all the time, it is a totally different thing shooting a paper target and shooting a person. Especially, if that person can shoot back. When the adrenaline is surging most people cannot focus properly and tunnel vision sets in. I see this all the time when I watch videos of shootings. The bullets are flying all over the place. Most will empty a magazine before they realize it. Sure, you can say that won't happen to me because I have training. Until you are put in that situation you really don't know. And, if you do kill an innocent then that will haunt you for the rest of your life. nojoke

Situational awareness is a crutial ally when things start going "pear-shaped" around you... The person that can identify the problem the quickest, and come up with a workable plan; is the one that will prevail! nojoke

And I've said that carrying a sidearm clearly isn't for everyone. It comes with tremendous responsibilities, and can bear terrible consequences.
