There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. i am not posting this to say it is terrorism or to bash anyone, i am posting this just to prove a point, that more people need to carry guns. the perp was taken down by a off duty police officer, lucky he was there, and lucky he had his gun with him. if the officer wasn't there, many more people could of been hurt or killed

Hi cuznjohn,

Re: that more people need to carry guns.

I would appreciate it very much if you would not decide what I 'need' to do. I am all grown up now & can make those decisions for myself.

Armed??

At the NOrCal :spyder2: Ralley ( at lunch up at Bear Valley) the subject came up. I did not start it. I was asked by the wife of a retired policeman---" why to you carry? " My answer was-----" I won't be a victim" She then asked me ( while her hubby grimiced) --" what are you afraid of??" My simple answer----" Nothing" She had nothing else to say.

Yes I'm well aware that every round in my pistol has a lawyer attached to itnojoke. I would do my best to avoid having to present a weapon.

Totally :agree::agree:
instead of those come kill us " gun free zone" signs,
there should be "concealed carry WELCOME" signs
simple, but effective deterrent to lowlife attacks

edit: I perfer concealed carry, this way mr lowlife (or whatever) doesn't know who to target first.

hey jerry, sorry you feel i singled you out. i know you seem to disagree with a few people on here, but i feel you have singled me out for some reason. you always have something to say about something i post, and i really feel bad about it. i will have to have extra sessions at my shrink now, and i might become shy on posting or answering posts, if you insist on picking on me. SO NOW I FEEL YOU SHOULD ADD ME TO YOUR IGNORE LIST, and stop picking on me. have a nice day

I try not to visit the " Kill for Free Zones ". There are very few places I don't carry . I choose to try my very best to protect my family ,not watch them die.

At least we don't have to pay to keep the scumbag alive, thanks to the mall cop.

Hi cuznjohn,

Re: i singled you out

You did not 'single me out.' You made a post that told everyone what they 'need' to do.

That is simply wrong IMO. Had you said, 'I think . . . . ' I would not have made any reply.

As to your other comments, I think they are simply mis-directed.

Jerry Baumchen

PS) IMO in a decent world we can agree to disagree.

jerry...
:lecturef_smilie: That's NOT what John said...

If you don't feel capable of handling what is a life-altering choice: don't carry!
One of us will be more than happy to protect you and yours. :D

As I said (at length!), in another thread; the choice to carry must be carefully considered...nojoke

I carry 24/7 because I am too old to take an ass whooping and I am too young to die... AND... I am going to do my dam best to prevent any dam pervert hurting my love ones.... :lecturef_smilie:

Seems everyday I wish Lamont would just ditch this off topic crap section...More than enough places to find it if needed.

Very simple solution... Don't come to the off topic section.

But, why should Lamont ditch off topic when it's so popular? Should the complaints of a few out weight the majority? There are posts on here I do not agree with. Do I go post that the off topic be ditched because I didn't like it? Nope. I Just don't respond at all.

Pro Gun and CWC

I have a house full of guns hidden so that no matter what room I'm in I have a weapon. I know how to use them all to protect my family and myself. Same holds true if I'm in public and can stop a bad situation. I'm a national and local member of the Well Armed Woman and am trying to learn everything I can about guns and gun handling.

People are too sensitive nowadays and take everything personally. Life is getting tougher and tougher and unfortunately children are being raised to be whiney, selfish, and incapable of surviving. My daughter is teaching my grandson, who is 8, how to handle and shoot guns. She is teaching him to respect them and all of the appropriate lessons of responsible gun ownership. People better start getting kids off electronics and teaching them how to survive. It may come down to survival of the fittest and most of the tree-huggers, millennials, and those that are overly sensitive are going to have a hard time.

Honestly, I hit the "whats new" saw that title and had concerns about others being killed in this crazy world. Then to read about whether or not guns being carried is for others.

I guess Bob, for me coming here is for Spyders, if I could "ignore" the off topic I would.
However there is that rare off topic post that allows others to help others, and that I find surpasses all the bickering.

On a another topic how are you doing.

Thanks for asking...
We're actually not doing so great. nojoke
MY Dad (age 87), just had his bladder re-sectioned, in order to remove a tumor...

...and they found that it has already spread to his lymph system.
He's tough old bird, but this wasn't great news.

Sorry to hear that, best of luck to him.
And THANKS to that off duty officer who stopped the madman. Too bad he had to take a life, I hope he's OK.

Me thinks it's more than just opening up a post and not finding it to ones sensibilities. If that were the case, a reasonable person would close out and move on the the next post. Most people do it all the time, I certainly do. there seems to be little logic in continuing to follow a thread that bothers you sooo much, that you eventually feel a need to inject your own post, that expresses your displeasure in its content. What's the point?

So I suggest, and only suggest, because I also don't want to be inaccurately accused of telling people what they should do; that next time you find a post you don't find palatable, then close it quickly and move onto the next post... Just a friendly point of view.

On on a more to more serious note... Bob, sorry to hear about your father. Hope The outcome is positive.

Bob, sorry about your dad.

on the original post, I heard an interesting story on the news yesterday. Seems that the police in St Cloud were touting that their response time was less than 5 minutes to stop the attack. Since it was an off duty cop from another jurisdiction I felt that was kind of misleading.
