Mini Ratchet Driver and Torx Bit Set

Maybe all you handy guys already have this kind of tool. But after working with my dad on my Syder this weekend, I realized I needed a tool that got into small spaces the cordless driver couldn't or for times when I didn't have it.

For less than $20 I bought this little set:


The ratchet drive is only 4.25" long, perfect to put into a tool kit in the Spyder. It's a 1/4-inch dual drive and was $7.51 on Amazon. The Torx bits are 40, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 and were $7.69 on Amazon.

I use a slightly different one from Sears. Can't find it online except in a set of three, so they may not sell it anymore. Greta tool for removing the body panel screw in the back under the seat.

I changed the T30,s over the rear tire and on the front skid plate to slightly shorter phillips head screws and Always have the Stubby phillips screw driver in the trunk. Real quick!~

You can never have too many tools. The more you bring along with your :spyder2:--hopfully you will never need them. I call it insurance in a box--and it works for either scenario. :roflblack:

I carry a bunch of tools with me as well. I have a similar set, just a different brand.

Ever since I got my Spyder in 2008, I have really increased the amount of tools I own. I've had the right tool on-board to help me and others more times than I can count (2 wheelers and Spyders alike). I decided I don't want to have to re-pack all my tools every time I ride a ways, so I added to my collection...hence, I have lots of duplicates now! :thumbup:

"All" the tools I carry fit in the bottom 1/4 of my frunk, so no big deal...except for the others that are in the trailer!!!

Talking about tools... There is a screw in the rear of the spyder. On the right and left side. One little screw that screws into the side luggage on the inside by the wheel. It holds the back spoiler where the license plate goes on. Dont know if anyone knows what I'm talking about. They face the rear wheel. The left side is pretty easy to take out but the right side was a pain. Couldn't fit my ratchet. Had to use my torx piece with a pair of plyers n patiently turn n turn little by little. To take off and put on. Does anybody use a special tool for that one. There's not enough room for screwdriver or ratchet. Or almost not even your fingers. Thanx
