• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mini Mate tent camper

i saw that camper my wife and i fell in love with it it seems you like how does the spyder handle with it i really like just like the one we tow withcar
The camper tows great with the Spyder, if it is properly loaded. The camper hurts my mileage more than my RT-622 does, but it tows equally well.

Mini mate tent camper

Thanks to all for the input, still haven't convinced the wife on this idea yet!:dontknow:

pulls like its not there

I'am considering the purchase of a Mini Mate Tent camping trailer from Open Road Outfitters for my Spyder and was just wondering if any one out there on our forurm has one and what they think about it. any and all info would be greatly appreciated. The video on their web site sure makes it look easy to set up and at only 265 lbs. seems like it will be easy to pull with my Spyder.:dontknow:

i bought mine to pull with my 1100 vstar worked great pulling with my 2015 spyder is easy. the mini mate is a good trailer takes only minutes to set up once you get to know it . there is plenty of room for one put two people in there you better like to cuddle . you will need to install a swivel jack on the tongue makes it easier to put down the front jacks . it did start to leak around the seams the second season a little leak fixer from rv dealer should fix it.this little trailer is a good investment look around the net there are others out there. lots of accessories to :2thumbs:

Mini Mate Camper

The MM is a great camper. Easy and fast to setup.
I owned a 1986 MM and towed it with a Honda ST1300.
No problems with pulling or braking. Should pull very nicely with a Spyder.
Great camper for one person. A bit small, in my opinion, for two up.
I had the optional awning for shade and comfort. I didn't have any issues
with carrying enough clothes and cooking gear for long weekend trips.
Bought it used and spent some time replacing hinges and weather stripping.
Added an AC pass thru power outlet and built a small table to fit inside
near the door. It was a joy to work on and use camping. Sold it when I quit
riding two wheels. :banghead:
Now I'm in the market for another camper for my Spyder STS.
Looking for a newer/used Leisure Lite or a Mini Mate.
Good luck with your quest.
Cheers, David C.

Hello,
when I was in the market, I found that Liesure-lite from Canada made the easiest set-up available. Also, well made for a tent trailer. Tents on wheels are noisy but cheaper than a motel room. Opted for the motel room.
