• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's a great Spyder tire. I now have close to 4000 miles on one and it works great, wet or dry. I bought 2 off my local guy for 119 each. I did a milage report on it not long ago. As a bonus, it brings the speedometer into line with the gps speed.

I READ POSTS ON THIS FORUM WHERE PEOPLE HAVE TRIED THEM AND WERE HAPPY WITH THEM. THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THIS TIRE A TRY.visited states.gif

I think it was replaced by the Primacy, that's what I have on mine. Lot's of selection in the 215/60/15 size and the speedo accuracy.

Got a email from simple tire after they told me the tire was in stock said tire was out of stock and could not ship. I went to amazon and found one for 85.00 free shipping and no tax.

That's been my experience exactly. GPS and speedo are never more than 1 MPH off & are often the same.

Hey, one thing to remember when putting the higher mileage tires on the Spyder...

In all my motorcycling experiences, when replacing tires I always assess the condition of brake pads to determine if they will last the life of the new tire. If not, I generally replace the pads while having the new tire installed. With higher mileage tires, such as what we are talking about in this thread, you might run through a set or more of brake pads before the tire needs replacing. Keep an eye on those pads!

I agree. My bake brakes had to be replaced at 9k when I had to replace the tire on the 11 RT.
