• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Members Roadside Assistance

Spyders to the Rescue Bump for anyone that hasn't seen the list yet. I see we have 36 members currently signed up. That is so great for those of us that travel a lot. To be able to contact other members if we are out and about and in need. Thank you everyone.

I am on the list as well. I may be a bit too far out to be of much help to anyone stranded in SC, or around Augusta, GA, but you never know. :D

on the list, just so people know you have to sign up for the google system its under to save your info, I missed that part if it is listed somewhere on here.

Great resource.

The link is now on the front page of SpyderLovers.com
It's at the bottom right under "Spyder Web" with all the other links. :doorag:

I signed up, but do share some concerns:

1. It appears anyone online can access it.
2. It appears anyone online can edit the information of anyone.

While having it on the google documents seems to work well, perhaps listing them out here instead, under a thread that is accessible only to valid Spyderlovers members would be better?

Another thing that can be done after the list gets bigger is converting it into a GPS POI so we can all load them onto our GPS units..... Or various other formats that can work on smartphones...

Just some food for thought.

The up-to-date csv file for the Garmin GPS, of Deb's spreadsheet, is available from me at:

kentompkins3 at comcast dot net

Email me and I will send it out immediately.

The easiest way to install it on your Garmin is with their POI Loader program.

Hey Everybody!!

Ken Tompkins has made a POI file for your Garmin of the Spyders to the Rescue list. Also, the list is now accessible on the home page of this forum down on the right side. It is in the list of links under the heading Spyder Web. So anyone that wants to add themselves to the list, please do and if you want to print off the list or download it to your Garmin, you can do that now. Brian just checked it on his Garmin and it works well. Thanks Ken.
