Mechanical idiot

Iknow I have no talent but I decided to try something simple and ended up dropping a small tool in between the steering column and the toggle switches. How do I get it out and will it cause any damage Help

If it don't belong there get it out. There is a lot of tool from magnets to mechanical fingers. I guess the main thing is if u can see it. If not then u need to take more stuff off. Good luck!!!:yikes:

Could a magnet tool cause problems. I have no idea. The finger tool can be had for a few dollar at a auto parts place. Long flex rod with a finger like thing at end, operated at other end. I add this because many people do not know what was meant by the first post.
I will add my good luck as well.

The first thing is to locate it. Odds are it would fall deeper down and not cause a problem possibly fall out the bottom. It would drive me crazy and I would have to find it. If you can see it then try to find the best path for pulling it out. Most tools are metal you can get with a magnet. Some screws like the dash bezel (4) are not so you need the fingers. If all this fails you will have to have a tupperware party...hope it is right there close by...ray:
