• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MEAT ON THE TABLE...........

So does that mean you've been hunting unsuccessfully for 10 years, or that it's been 10 years since you've hunted? :dontknow:

At any rate, congrats on getting some fresh venison!

I think that any hunt is successful, if you enjoy what you're doing.

It's just that sometimes: the killing might be a little bit better, than others... :D

i have to agree with you bob, i went years w/o even seeing a deer, but just sitting in the woods and listening and seeing the surroundings, was great

I agree. On some of my most successful hunts, I never fired a shot.

RIGHT ON, my brothers. Being in the forest is enjoyment in and of itself.

10 years of hunting with 1 archery miss and 1 rifle miss. This one was between 75 and 100 yards in thick brush. When I squeezed the trigger, It appeared he dropped where he stood, but when I went to find him, I was beginning to think I had missed again. But lo and behold, as I was pushing through some thick brier bushes, I nearly fell over him. Drug him about 1/2 mile through timber cuttings and over bare ground and not a downhill section anywhere. I was nearly exhausted by the time I reached my car. Weighed 140lbs field dressed.

the first deer i ever got was in green county ny, after years of only seeing does, sometimes, was a big 6 pointer, i was sitting against a big rock, and just looked to my left, and he was standing there just looking at me. he dressed out at 168 pounds, people were telling me to join the contest for biggest deer that year, so for the 5 bucks it cost, i did. well the winning buck came down from the Adirondacks, i don't remember the winning weight, but my deer came in 13th place that year

Congrats on a successful hunt... venison is good eating... my all time favorite wild game is elk... although I don't hunt elk anymore... but have some friends that occasionally offer me some...

osm

Congratulations. ...

That should keep the family fed....:clap:don't know about 10 years but a good start...:roflblack:

So initially i'm wondering,How in the hell did he hit that with a Spyder that far out in the trees?, when it dawned on me that,oh he must be talking about a hunt. Back later after more coffee.

Yes. Model 99-EG. And no, you can't buy it. I don't sell guns, only buy them. My wife doesn't understand.
