• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for advice on a good dealer in Albuquerque for service.

Riding my 2008 RS and brake failure light came on about 200 miles back. Brake fluid is fine and does not appear to be leaking. Wondering if sensor has gone bad. Have some problems with parking brake locking before leaving for trip and thought problem was fixed. Have not had any problems with liimp mode but don't want to push my luck.

Owens9finger and I made it to Tumcumcari, NM and I am hoping to get it into a good dealer tomorrow in Albuquerque.

HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Hope its an easy fix ! Most times though the brake reservoir looks full but all it takes is an oz. or two to clear-up your problems. My money is on your reservoir needs to be topped up .:dontknow:

Try the brake fluid and if that doesn't clear it good luck. DocRags and Erags didn't have a great experience with the dealer in Albuquerque this past week I hope if you go there your luck is better.

Thanks and another question

Do you know what location they had service performed?

I see on the Can-Am site that there are more than two locations.

Thanks and need advice on brake fluiid.

Looking over past threads and have not found any advice on what brake fluid to use on the RS.

Any suggestions?

Getting ready to head out on Gary's RT to pick up a quart.

Dot 4, I would check your relays too, if you need to you can shut the key off and turn it on while its rolling and it should just have a fault but no limp mode. If neither of these work,(fill the brake fluid all the way up) then would check your battery connections

Thanks Seth. I made a list.

Now..I have to wake my mechanic up and put him to work.

R&S Kawasaki is on the dealer list as a Platinum Dealership. Hope this helps.

Thanks for info.

I did see their name on the list and was hoping to find someone that has had service work on their bike done by their mechanics. I do know my parking brake cable was on the list to replace after this trip so I am thinking that may be the problem that is setting off the code. Hoping it is something as simple as topping off the brake fluid.

Parking brake

Try pushing your parking lever that the cable is hook to on axel.Mine did the same thing, after taking everything apart and putting it back still had brake light.Put my hand on lever pushed it back just a little light went out.Never had any more trouble.

Hope it works out. I had that problem. It took three cap fulls (Less than a fluid ounce) of DOT4 and I have not had a problem since.

I am just impressed beyond all with the power of this BB and the people on it - this thread is just evidence of the caliber of people on here!

MAYDAY UPDATE

First and foremost.

A BIG thank you goes out to CaptBlack and Flamingobabe for coming to my rescue. CaptBlack for providing the BrakeFluid and Flamingobabe for arriving with an offer for use of her "personal mechanic." Another person on the thank you list is Lamont for providing this website for this type of use as well as the great friends we make on and off the site.

Will be headed to Albuquerque tomorrow in hopes of getting the problem resolved at the dealer.
Thanks to all that offered advice and assistance.

Will see you in Albuquerque.
