• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

May be losing it...

OK, probably losing it, but I thought that there was a maintenance requirement that was only recommended if the Spyder is run over 6K RPM more than 10% of the time. Is/Was this real or did one of my nightmares load to my brain's hard drive?

I have 2 PDF's of the new maintenance schedule from BRP.
One is dated in 2012 and the other in May 2013.
I use the latest 2013 one as it does not exclude California like the 2012 did.

However if you look at the line items some things need to be done if running higher than 6K RPM 10%.

Here is a link to download a ZIP of the 2 different maintenance schedule bulletins from BRP.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Like to hear more..!!

don't remember this but doing my own work I know the manual has nothing. When I had my laser alignment done by Squared Away in Eureka they checked my shifting and running with buds. I was high in that area, do ryde hard and fast. Don't know that there is something special to be done other than to tell me to stop it..:roflblack::roflblack: But she is happy there...

If there is a bulletin, I am screwed. No way I am coming in under 10%

Just sayin'............

I think you might be surprised! My BUDS showed I was at 98% 4300 and I shift my SM5 at 6K easy.... So don't think you run your Spyder as hard as you think!

I would be interested to see where it sits as my SM5 regularly approaches 9k. I do tend to ride hard, and it was actually only a joke. But all kidding aside, I don't have to think about riding hard, it comes naturally. Why don't you come along for a ride and then we can compare notes?

Just sayin'...........

I would like to see a BUDS read out.....maybe next time I go visit Pitbull...just for grins....usually shift at about 7k..but like going higher...just feels good
