• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Manual in PDF form not viewable in iBooks

Hey Lamont, I thought you may know this...
I have the Spyder RTS shop manual in PDF form. I added it to my itunes library and synced it over to tmy iphone4. It looks like it sees all the pages, but they ALL only show a grey fabric like background. :hun:

Any ideas on how to fix? The file shows fine on my laptop.

Shop manual may be too large to load. Try again and wait...and wait. Maybe will load.

I have many PDF's file on both my iphone and ipad, I use a app called PDF Reader Pro and PDF Reader lite and both works fine.

I have the same issue with my IPad. I can view every other PDF in IBooks but the newest RT manual. We discussed this issue in a previous thread here. I think it might be because the newest manual was created in adobe X version and apples reader has not beeN updated yet for Adobe X?

I figured it out. The PDF files from MidWestManuals come in PROTECTED MODE. Use Google to search for a free PDF unlocker. That worked!
Plus I added a nice gear picture from BRP's training facility as a front cover art. (Thanks Lamont for the gallery pictures!)

Good find! I'll keep this in mind if I ever run into an issue with viewing PDF's. Thanks!
