She is going into the stealership next Tuesday
Now to figure out replacement tires. I am sure they are going to say, "Sorry, those are designed to wear out" and I will be stuck paying for tires, even though its due to faulty bike!
You could look into the Denver dealer. I had a little work done there and they seem pretty capable. It would be worth a call.
These tires look brand spankin new on outside edge. I am just glad that I didn't blow one in Death Valley on my trip 2600 mile trip to/from california.
Going to call the stealership tomorrow morning and get her into the shop. Already looking at replacement tires. Tirerack.com is only showing 1 in the 165/65/14 sizeIs there any other size I can use?
i had all my work done at Cowtown, they seemed like they knew what they were doing, but my point is that they put in a new DPS all three times. each time i noticed tire wear, the steering would go out shortly after, lock up start pull to one side or just stop working alltogether
I ran my RS rear 22750 and the fronts 33k. The fronts were worn on the inside when I replaced them but being from the Harley world where I would have replaced 3 rears and 2 fronts in that amount of miles I was pretty happy and replaced the tyres with the Kendas.
Intrerested in the thread though as I have a local customer with 6K on his RS and his fronts look as bad as mine did at 33k. He's had it to the dealer 3 times complaining about the wear. They did crank the preload in the shocks but didnt replace the badly worn tyres so hard to tell if they fixed anything.
Both front tires worn on inside edge, about 2 1/2 inches outward. 0nly 5000 miles on '08 Spyder. Does this appear to be a camber issue nor a toe issue? Combination riding is spirited and laid-back. Have owned since new. Appreciate reply from our experienced worn tire folks.. Thanks, Mickc
