Front driver side has got some MAJOR inside wear. Outside looks almost new, but inside is beyond wear bars. Passenger side looks similar but no where near the driver side.
Any idea's? can you get an alignment on this thing?!?!
The bike was set up by Len @ Cowtown before I road it. Put 4,000 miles on it so far, luckily noticed the tires now.
Would the suspension/ball joint be covered under warrenty?
I LOATHE the stealership here in Cheyenne and don't want to take it in unless I truely have to.

Unfortunately, mine was not, we thought it might have been but I think because of the milage (~50,000) it was considered wear and not a defect. It was about $ 196 labour and $176 for the ball joints.

I'm having the same problem at 8K miles. 2 different dealers say the alignment is 'in spec'. Others have reported the same problem on this board and BRP seems to say the it can be caused by aggressive cornering. Most of my miles were put on in the CO rockies where the curves are great fun. I'm going to replace them with car tires soon and see what happens then.
I never got that many miles on my 2-wheeler tires so I don't know it I should be happy or P/O'd. It's such a light weight vehicle that it's easy to imagine the fronts scuffing a lot thru the turns.
I'm still watching for any new info on the forum.opcorn:
even though you have a broken shock, I would say that at 4000 miles, chances are there is nothing worn out already, you have about 1/2" of toe-out. You should still check suspension parts for play or something loose. You need a tool to adjust this. You might also need to adjust the camber that BRP, says there is none.
Toe-out and toe-in are measured by the difference between the measurement across the front of the wheels and the back of the wheels, and since you can't get a tape measure across because of things being in the way, you need a tool to help you out. Since you are knew at this, you should go to a dealer that can adjust this for you. I think the owner manual call for zero toe-in. The shock adjustment should have no effect unless you are very big. Most dealers cannot do this, since most are motorcycle shops. I had the same problem, but since I have a tire shop in my garage it was easy for me, I also needed a camber adjustment. There is about 8,000 miles on the bike right now. How do I adjust the toe? If that is 1/2" then the other tire is around a 1/4".
Also, with the broken shock adjustment - is this a part that is "designed to wear out" and therefore NOT covered under warrenty? Or should the stealership fix this for free? Also, if it is under warrenty, should I have to pay the labor costs? (Sorry - newbie to new-er vehicles and warrenties)
and with how bad the tire's are, I assume I will be needing new ones correct?
i have put on four sets of front tires in 10,000 miles. every time the only problem was the DPS, lost one set of brand new tires wore slick on the inside edge in 600 mile, alignment was always perfect when checked. Hope this is not your issue.
The dealer told you it was perfect cause they had no way of knowing. These tires look brand spankin new on outside edge. I am just glad that I didn't blow one in Death Valley on my trip 2600 mile trip to/from california.
Going to call the stealership tomorrow morning and get her into the shop. Already looking at replacement tires. Tirerack.com is only showing 1 in the 165/65/14 sizeIs there any other size I can use?
Warranty should cover it, but they have improved this part for 2011. I would recommend using the 2011 steel adjuster rings and ring protectors. Not sure if the dealer will cover the swap under warranty, but they should...even if you have to pay the slight difference in price. Also, if the warrenty won't cover broken shot adjustment, will it be cheaper to go back to stock, or aftermarket?!?!
