• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maintenance items

We are new to the Spyders and I was wondering if there were any places to buy parts and maintenance supplies? For example, my bike is a BMW R1150gs and there is a place called Beemer Boneyard and I can get BMW items through them at ridiculously cheap prices versus getting it through BMW for astronomical prices. Especially looking for good prices on items like oil filters and such. Also, I get a big discount through a friend for Amsoil and that is what I use for my stuff. I would assume Amsoil is quite ok for using on the Spyder since everything on the spyder seems to use the same oil. Thanks everyone.

I use Cheapcycleparts.com. They have OEM parts for several brands. If you sign up with them, there is an additional discount. Good service.
Try our supporting vendors for accessories and various parts.

Get your routine maintenance stuff from Bajaron, a SL sponsor including Amsoil Metric 10W-40 full synthetic oil. Ron is a great guy to deal with.

Ah yes, Beemer Boneyard. I've put some of their kids through college as well as some at Re-Psycle BMW parts which is near my home. BajaRon is a great source for Spyder maintenance goodies. Hard to believe, but the dealership in Jackson, Ohio where I bought my Spyder has reasonable prices on maintenance items.
