• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maintenance Check Off Sheets

For those of you who do as much of your own maintenance as possible, I offer you a check off sheet to use as documentation. I have typed up such a sheet and offer it to anyone who might find it helpful. The sheet is two pages long. Each line proceeds left to right as follows.
Mileage Interval (3K, 6K, 9K etc.)
Service to be performed (inspect level, replace part Z)
The page in the original paper shop manual that pertains (page number not always provided)
a space to initial and date when completed
Items that must be gotten before the service can be done (tools not mentioned, just parts and supplies)
This is a first pass. I am already thinking about adding torque values in places and things like that. The attached files are yours to use if you wish. I only hope to give a little back to you others have provided so much for me. Ryde Safe and Enjoy

Hi again,
I have updated the sheets, eliminating a duplicate items, added some torque values, page numbers, rearranged for better work flow etc. etc. I did not print and scan new image files. I am thinking of adding a third page with all the part numbers for things that need to be ordered or might be ordered depending on the results of various inspections at the end. This will be a work in progress until I have finished my 12K service interval. If anyone would like the current updated version, PM me with your email address, and I will send it to you as an attached file. I will update this again when I have what I consider a finished product.
Ryde Safe and Enjoy, sabunim5

Very useful! Appreciate the tips, as a fledgling owner/maintainer I'm always up for pointers in keeping this machine in fighting trim.

3,000 mile service is basically oil change and a couple of inspections (coolant, front wheel nuts, tire wear, brake pads, parking brake and passenger handles). I had no problem doing that and documenting. 6,000 mile service has about three times as many inspections. Most are easy since they are visual (air filter, radiator hoses, battery, spark plugs, etc.). Others like wheel speed sensors, passenger switch, throttle bodies, drive belt adjustment require a bit more technical know how, assuming the dealer is using the BUDS system to verify functions and not doing just a visual. Fuel line inspection might be one I'd like to have the dealer sign off in view of recent fires. Bottom line, for those doing their own maintenance, any concerns about doing the more critical 6,000 mile service inspections yourself? Already did the 6,000 mile oil change, but since I have to take it in for the steering recall, I could let them do the other inspections.

I've uploaded the pics, and would like to add part numbers. My dealership doesn't seem to understand "parts on hand". Is there a way to upload the word DOC or dump it to a site for uploading?

I'm sure there is but I don't know how today.

Can you send or post as an attachment in word or PDF?

My scanner will not do pdf that I know of. And when I tried to upload the word perfect file I was told it was not an acceptable file format.

As stated above if you will PM with your email address, I will send the file to you as an email attachment. I am sorry that I am not more tech savvy, but I am not :dontknow:

Set you a pm.

I should be able to convert the file if no one else has taken careof that already--Thanks!

Thanks to sabunim, I fiddled with the file a bit and made his into a one-sheet list PDF.

Hopefully I didn't lose too much info in the conversion, but if it needs to be edited, let me know.

Thanks again for all your efforts Steven!

Looks great to me. :2thumbs: It is always easier to keep track of one piece of paper instead of two. I am going to send that Thank-you right back at you for doing the file conversion.. Ryde Safe and Enjoy :ohyea:
