• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There were no vendors in Chicago last year other than BRP. I kinda doubt they will invite other vendors this year either.
You will, however, probably see all of these seats on their owners' spyders along with just about every other mod you can imagine.

For those of you traveling or arriving as a group , I can offer an alternative- we spend ALOT of time in Maggie Valley and use http://carolinavacations.com/ They are a local business right in Maggie Valley and offer beautiful rental homes and some smaller cabins. If you have 5 or 6 it can be as cheap as a few hotel rooms with FAR more amenities. Alot of their homes are in the mountains looking down into the Valley. Id say give it a look. Otherwise there are the local motels.. but as others have said they will book fast , this is not a huge area.

Maggie Valley

I just made reservations thru Carolina Vacations.:2thumbs: Staying at Semon Chalet in Maggie Valley:clap:. The Chalet has two bedrooms and a Hot Tub and other stuff. I may have an opening for one other couple but I'll need to check with my daughter first to see if she is interested. If not, I'll let y'all know and someone can join us. Cost would be about $55/night per couple.

Still debating if we want to go or not... Wife has a professional's convention going on in New Orleans but it is more $$$ so we are debating which one would be the cheaper options. I know we have to decide soon but not much info on the BRP side of things...:dontknow:

Well, we have our reservations, route, and agenda, but the trip may now be in jeopardy. This ice storm has closed school. There is no power at the high school where Nancy teaches, and there may not be until the end of the week. Today is the fifth and final snow day for Nancy this year. If they go over that, they have to make them up at the end of the year. To make the event, we were going to have to leave Michigan the very day after her last day of school. Now the last day of school may come during the event. Bah, humbug!!! Where is that technology made so famous in the Star Trek series? Sure could use a transporter about now. :D

Well, we have our reservations...
Scotty, where do you have your reservations at? A campground? I have been waiting for BRP to announce the host hotel but I am worried that it will be booked up before an announcement is even made!

Scotty

Have the same problem with scheduling. Want to bring my grandaughter with me but they don't have any storm days left here either. Their last day is the 14th and I need two days to get to NC. Mother nature has not been nice this year. They only allow three storm days here. Oh well time will tell. :dontknow:

We're not camping for this one. With Nancy having to work through the 14th, it will be a banzai run, and getting into a campground late brings difficulty. I will PM or email the motels to you, after I look them up again. I was worried about things filling up, too. Of course this storm may change our plans anyway.

:agree: The closest thing is a Convention Area in the Maggie Valley Inn. I would like to know as well.:dontknow:
