• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maggie Valley Owners Event

I've calls in to a few of them, but since I have no clue:dontknow:of the area, I'd like to stay where there are fellow SpyderLovers. So, if anyone thats going to the MaggieValley BRP Event and are camping would let me know where your stay'n, I'd appreciate it
I just got my Trailer Life Campground/RV Parks directory. In the Maps area for NC there's 6 Towns I looked at that had campgrounds. Whittier had the most at 5 and Waynesville had 4 the others had one and almost ALL didn't say anything about tent sites. One in Balsam had 23 tent sites. Guess with the others one would have to double up in a pull thru or back in Bigger rig site. Seems most ran about $25 to $45.Some on the State parks run around 15 to25. Some had WIFI and quite a few only had rest rooms no showers. Soooo there tis if you want more info I can send more specific stuff to you thru email or PM me, I guess is the way to do it? email is [email protected] just put spyder ryder in subject so I don't delete it.:gaah: :ohyea:

May have a change of plans..

We are considering making Maggie Valley instead of Spyderfest for the simple reason of climate conditions. It looks (at least at the moment) that winter is hitting regions it has not hit before. Seattle is getting snow daily for the last week.

If we venture thru Montana/Wyoming in the middle of April, I m not sure about how pleasant driving/camping would be.

Anyway, after some minor research last night, I came up with this campground: (turn down volume before clicking! Scared the bejeezus outta me last night!)

Hey CyncySpyder, Alamo Hotel caters for dogs... the owners pet sit dogs if needed and have extra towels and sheets for our happy 4 legged kids! The owner (Dawn) knew about a convention but wasn't sure, but she sounded like there was still room available. Give them a holler!:2thumbs:

Speaking of vendors, I work next door to Held USA. I asked last week if they go to any owner's events or rallies. Apparently, they do Daytona but not Myrtle Beach... although MB is a lot closer. And as for owner's events, the girl told me that they only do BMW events. I thought that was a little snobbish, but I guess that's their problem. If they want other bike owners to try their stuff (it's pricey stuff, too), they should branch out a little, but maybe they have all the business they want. Go figure. I thought that I might tell them about Maggie Valley, in case they would want to try an event so close by, but changed my mind.
