• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maggie Valley event

I'm going to miss Cuba, it was going to be a tight schedule anyway....now I will be in Maine (without my Spyder).

But sometimes luck does come my way..... got to be in Asheville June 13-15 for work. Perfect :2thumbs:

Lamonts BBQ & Maggie Valley are a done deal !

Jimmy and I have decided to go. We are camping in Maggie Valley at the Creekwood Farm Rv Park. We plan on going up June 16th. We are planning on attending Lamont's BBQ too. Can't wait to see some of you guys!

Yeah..I knew you would convince Jimmy it was the right thing to do. Will give you a call when we get closer to the date.

We are leaving the morning of the 15th heading down towards South Carolina to meet up with DocRiverside from GA.

We are going to run Rt 64 on the way there, which if none of you have before, you are missing a treat! Very twisty, waterfalls... beautiful!

I live off 64. My last trip to Gatlinburg, took us 12 hours taking every back road we could find. No freeways all the way there. Great ride.

We'll be running straight across 40 from Goldsboro. Figuring about eight hours. Still not sure if I'm trailering yet. Have to see how the hand feels between now and then.

Catniption and I are planning to go to the BBQ, too; we are so close it would be a shame not to ride together!

Meet in Hickory?

Hickory seems to be a decent middle ground for some folks to meet at. Maybe we can gather others as we go. What say ye, Spyderfolks?

Maggie Valley

We will be there, but not until Saturday the 18th. We are staying in Maggie Valley on Soco road and plan to meet up with the Cherokee folks for the Dragon run on Sunday. Did I say WOOT?

While In Maggie Valley - Wheels Through Time Museum

There is an awesome museum in Maggie Valley :2thumbs:called Wheels Through Time. :2thumbs:Admission was $10 last year. One of the best motorcycle museums I have ever been in. :2thumbs: Here's their link: http://wheelsthroughtime.com/

The motorcycles are everywhere! You actually get to walk among them, touch them, and if you ask, they will let you sit on them. If that's not enough, they will even start them for you! 99% of the motorcycles still run. If they were found intact, they cleaned some grease and dirt off of them and leave them as is. If they get a basket case, they completely restore it. You have one of the exact type in original condition as it was brand new sitting next to one in it's original used condition.

Almost all of the motorcycles are American made, he has a hand full of others. Bj & I were talking and this guy walks up and starts telling us about the bikes. We later learned he was the owner, it was like talking to an old friend.

:2thumbs: This is a must do if you have the time. :2thumbs:
