There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. MAGGIE VALLEY 2017 was a terrific event again this year... :firstplace:
I met plenty of friends and made some new ones...
Picture perfect weather, although a bit hot for this time of year, but all went well...
Riding the byways of western North Carolina is 2nd to none... AWESOME roads and vistas...
Here's hoping Regina does it again in 2018...

Great event!

I would also like to say that it was a great event. I brought gear for cool and possibly rainy weather, and really wish I had brought my mesh jacket. But it was a wonderful time. I just arrived back in the Apex/Cary area around 1:10, and logged in a total of 1402 miles. I will definitely be back again next year. We are moving our M109 meet to the Asheville area, and some of my spyder friends plan on crashing our party again in June 2018. I will post more details when things are set in stone.
Again, great event.

Home safe and sound! Thanks for a great rally! There must have been 300 under the tent for the dinner. Not bad for year two!! Great turn out!! Kathy and I had a blast with all of you!!

Here are some pictures from the event and on our rides.

I will try to get some of my pictures posted as well.

First, I have never been down there for the purpose of a MC ride, WOW:yes:!

That whole area is a MC Entetainment Park. I got cut off from the group by some cagers the first day, spent ten minutes trying to get back to the group, all for naught. I decided to just follow my nose and head south, well I ended up on what is called the Green Loop, it took me down to S. Carolina and back up again, totally awesome roads. I don't think that you could find a non-challenging road, this whole place is unbelievable, in my opinion, the Dragon is one of the most tame roads down there, but IMO! I bet I will get scorned for that one.

I know some will be amazed by this but I shared a cabin with Mike, (Blueknight 911), that was a treat to be able to sit around at night and pick through that brain, I just had to be cautious od out the trip wires in there, lol. He rode with Andy M. and I on Saturday. I was almost on overload, spending that much time with two guys who are originally from Long Island, it was like dressing for a cocktail party only to arrive at a WWE cage match!

Just kidding it was my pleasure to spend four days with these two guys, thank you both, this was my first Spyder event and it was way more than anyone could expect.

Location, perfect!
Vendors, some would say light, I say anyone that did not show missed it.
Attendees, hundreds of Ryders, I only met friendly ones.
Banquet was an awesome event.
Weather could NOT have been better.
Personally, I hope they do this twice a year!

My biggest regret was that I did not get to meet more people. I actually got calls from a few that I was supposed to ride with, and somehow we got wires crossed and we did not get together. I am sorry that I missed you, but know that I am always down for a good ride with old and new friends at any time. Most of the roads that I lead people on last week were very familiar to me. Next time, I will definitely be doing some different routes, just to mix it up a little. The only issue with fall riding (If you want to call it an issue) is that the BRP is so full of tourist trying to catch a view of the leaves. That can really slow things down a bit on the weekend. But over all, there is no better place to ride. See you next year.

I have an idea that we might create a event ryde board. There is a function in the Facebook groups that allows you to contact all members through their smart phones. We could announce time and and location and you would get it as a notification. I'll talk to Gina and see if we can have that in place before next year.

Now we're talking...

Thanks to all that have posted some of their pictures. They are awesome and really show how great that area is. Make one think about making the journey to enjoy it. A picture is worth a 1000 words....:bowdown:

Thanks for the pictures!

Sounds like everyone who was there had a great time, meeting new/old spyder riders. Visiting the area, riding on the tail of the dragon etc.

Sorry I could not go there, because the 4 letter word "Work".

Everyone have a safe trip back to there destination's( home).
