Keep in mind when reading this narrative that all Spyders are different This account was what I experienced installing the Madstad Foot rests.
Received the kit via UPS in about a week after I ordered. The Kit was complete and instructions where straightforward and easy to follow.
When initiall fitting the Support Brackets, I found the screw holes needed to be enlarged to about 3/8”. Once this was done all the holes lined up a little better.
Installing the footrest requires installing a longer screw in the Top Right Hand position into a nut that is part of the frame. This nut is a “Cap Nut “ I.e. the screw provided is to long and bottoms out in the nut pefore everything tightens up. I had to shorten the screwabout 1/4 of an inch.
Once that was done the assembly went fairly
smooth.
Keep in mind that the footrest must come off to change the oil. This will surely be a PITA.
It may be the determing factor as to wether I keep them or not.
The finish is a 10 . Comfort is a 10 and I like they way they look.
Would I buy them again? I will let you know after the next oil change.
