Left Roland OK about 9 am and made it to Santa Rosa, that was a little over 600 miles today. It was pretty cold most of the morning and the highway still had a lot of trucks and cars in the ditches from the day before. I'm so glad I didn't try to drive the RT in that stuff.
Once I got here I hit a car wash to spray some of the salt off of the RT. I still had to hand wipe it down to get it clean. Got quite a few rock chips too. The wind was blowing like crazy and I was getting as little as 21 mpg. There were a few times I was glad I had the extra 2 gal. of fuel in the trailer. I never needed it but it was a safety blanket for me.
Not sure where I'll land tomorrow but I may hit a little snow in Flag Staff.
This is a great little town for Route 66 history. :doorag:
