Luggage rack plate

So one side that holds the little pin thingy on the bottom of the luggage rack plate broke and it falls out now. I don't use it tons but was wondering if that is weldable or not? I use the backrest most of the time anyway cause I like the way it looks better and the wife for sure likes it better! Also on that note, I think it would be cool if brp "or anyone" could make something with a cowl that hooked to the rack for one up riding so its more sporty looking that flows with spydey. Thanks!

Contact your dealer. I had both the plate and backrest break. Both have been sent to BRP. After looking at the castings it looks like they are not designed well. I say this as in my previous career I was a class A toolmaker and then purchased castings for 16 years. Just my opinion.
