• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yikes. Glad it wasn't worse.

When you look at the still photographs of the incident, it looks like some wacky stunt being pulled by a rider in a video game. But no, it’s not. It’s Josh Boyd laying unconscious on his bike, while doing a 140 miles an hour! That’s around as much as the top speed of most cars we have.
Needless to say, speeds like these are fatal even with the slightest of mistakes. For those of you who don’t know, Josh Boyd is a British Superstock 1000 Championship rider. At the time of the incident, Boyd was taking laps to adjust the settings on his bike. A BMW S1000RR racer.
In the video, you can see a Kawasaki ZX-10R leading ahead. Apparently, the undertray/bellpan of the Kawasaki wasn’t secured to the bike properly. Resultantly, it fell off and then flicked up. And then it hit Boyd in the head, when he was doing a whopping 140mph! Any impact at that speed can be fatal. But thanks to his gear, Boyd was only knocked unconscious. But that isn’t really any better, when you’re riding your bike at that speed!
How Boyd managed to somehow still maintain balance at that speed despite being knocked out is beyond imagination.
Not just that, he somehow avoided any serious injury as well! In an interview afterwards, he was said, “I remember leaving pitlane and regaining memory whilst in the hospital. Team members said I was conscious when removing my helmet and leathers for the medics at the circuit but I cannot remember anything.”

I guy I know had a stroke due to a blood clot while riding his GXR. He was going home on a country road. His girlfriend wondered why he hadn't called her when he got home. We had several friends and police out looking for him. The police pinged his phone and said it was a couple miles west of where he actually was. He was finally found the next morning when he walked out of the tall grass and up to the road where one of the searchers was driving by.

Badly broken arm and lifetime blood thinner therapy. After a week in the hospital, he's doing fine. Good thing he had on a helmet!

WOW! That's about all I can say. Very lucky especially with the pavement and the wall it looks like he hit. Very lucky person and I agree with Bob, he had an angel protecting him that day.

my friend that had the accident tow weeks ago just had surgery on his foot. they had to pin a toe and put a few others into splints. they also found out that he had a concussion, 3 broken ribs, and a fractured bone in his leg, all from racing at a track. amazing what going down can do. when i had my accident, i went down at 10 MPH. i ended up with 4 broken ribs, and a broken left scapular. but worse that that. a few days after the accident i needed a tooth pulled, we think it was loosened up from the cheek pads in the helmet when my head hit the floor, and leaving the dentist i decided to be nice to a woman walking on the sidewalk, so i stepped onto the grass to give her more room. well i stepped into a hole, and went down again. the pain was unbelievable.
