There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Love/Hate relationship with my GoPro HD

You know this thing takes great videos and now that I have the LCD it is nice to see what you're going to shoot. The sound is pretty good compared to other cameras I've used. So this is what I love about the GoPro

What I HATE is the menu. This thing is not user friendly at all. If you plan on leaving it in one setting you're fine but if you hit the wrong menu button like I did when I thought I was taking a video of our ride you may just end up with 9 seconds of video instead of two hours like I thought I had. :gaah:

So once again I went on the hunt for a new video camera that will be a little more user friendly. This is what I wound up with.

I'll let you know how it does when I get back home.

Looking forward to hearing how this does. I was all set to get a GoPro this month, but I'm open to other options.

I 100% agree with you lamont, I got a bunch of pic's when I should have some great video, the battery f'ed me once so far on the better one.
Plus the on and off is hard to use with my toddler balance.

I would like to see the how the new one works out.

Looking forward to hearing your review on this camera set up. The interface screen sure looks easy enough to navigate through.

Best of luck with it.

What's the best price you've found for one?

So far $310 at Amazon. Just be aware that the one Lamonster is using is the newer version... [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Drift-Innovation-Stealth-Recording-1-5-Inch/dp/B004L5AF4Q/ref=dp_ob_title_ce[/ame]

I will wait for your review!

I have really been looking to get a GoPro, I am bummed to hear it's not all it's cracked up to be. Please keep me posted, and if you're looking to unload the GoPro sometime in the future, let me know!

If I like this the GoPro will be sold at a deep discount. :doorag:

Hey Lamont,

Had mine since Dec. last year and love it. Remote is a great feature.
Mounted my remote on the left grip so i don't have to take my hands of the grip to push the button.
the 2nd link is a video i shoot with this cam.
Also good quality on video and pics.

my 2 cents

The Drift is the one I had mentioned back in one of the other video threads. So I will be very interested in hearing about it. It has pretty darn good reviews from Web Bike Week.

Good to hear

Like a number of others, I was getting ready to purchase a Go Pro but now I will await your evaluation.. Good luck with new unit

I have the POV HD camera and its awesome. Not as easy to mount, but you get a display to watch/edit your videos. Plus the go-pro's front and rear and the contour hd's on the helmet. Rolling video center

You just have to memorize every step once you figger the dern thing out. I am going to stick with mine for awhile. I love the picture quality. It's not particularly user friendly, though.

Hey George, the GoPro does a wonderful job of videos. Lamont just has an issue with the menu. Are you talking about the menu on the backpack monitor Lamont?

I have a Drift and it's REALLY user friendly. The menu system just plain makes sense!

I think you'll love this camera........

does anyone have any videos with the drift camera they can post a link too? the more spirited the better, want to see the video difference between my go cam.

I do think it would be much better on my setup because of the remote.

For those of you who do have them, how is the battery life, overall storage use (I have my go cam in a plastic bag(I do know it water proof, its just so it does not get the front of the case lens scratched) and can you just grab it and go?
