LOUDEST EXHAUST ON F3?

I really like my Pit Bull system. I don't think it is too loud, and have had no complaints. I like it better than the OEM and the delete.

Spyderattitude.com is a site sponsor and those are plenty loud and attractive as well.

Personally I also like the Tailgunner pipes.

Joe

Spyderattitude is very attractive after the paint peals off during the first hour of use. Their exhaust does increase in volume as the rust holes appear during the first year, ya just need to be patient. Wonderful product :gaah:

Yup! There are two sides to the "loud" vs. "stock" pipes argument. Interestingly, my brother and I had that same conversation a week ago. He is "for" and I am "not."

It's like politics and religion. The arguments will always be there and it is difficult to "convert" anyone from their position.

Interesting... How does the "Akra" sound on the F3, with the catalytic converter still in place? :dontknow:
I'm not a fan of "louder", and I realize that "better" is a completely subjective yardstick... :banghead:
But it IS fun to look for an improvement! :D

I have the Akra that was originally for the RT on my F3 with Cat still in place, it has a very nice tone, a bit louder but not obnoxious.
To be perfectly honest, I agree with bmccaffrey, it is hard to make a triple sound good, removing cat and adding a straight through pipe
seems to give it a more high pitched sound more like a sporty 4 cylinder car. Just my opinion

I also have Akra Straight Shot silencer and cat still in place. I really love the sound, it is louder than stock exhaust, but not too loud. It has a nice deep rumble ...

I found a interesting comparison of exhaust sounds (stock vs Akra + cat on and off) from Youtube:

Great video. Thanks for sharing.

If I'm recalling correctly, the Stock exhaust with the Lamonster pipe on sounded pretty good. So, if I have the stock exhaust on my F3S, would I just need to purchase the Lamonster pipe? Is it easy to install?

Yes, you can just buy the Lamonster pipe and run it with existing exhaust. Sound should be quite good. I have my cat still on, so I cannot comment the installation part.

Yes, and yes - with a spring puller or a piece is string.

Husband has lamonster bypass and stock USA muffler on his Daytona. Great sound. Not as ummmm as akrapovich with bypass. Noticeable but not offensive.

In oz, stock muffler for the f3s is the rt muffler, not the nice short USA stock one. If you want quiet, that's a way to go.

I put an HMF pipe on my F3-S and liked it , but it was a little harsh . So I put a QQ Big City Thunder baffle in it and for me it took the harshness away , it now has a deep tone and pulls real strong all the way thru . For me l love this pipe deep throaty when your want it to be and great when cruising .
I put the Lamonater cat delet pipe on Cindy's F3S and she loves it but I put the QQ Big City Thunder baffle in it .

How easy was it to do the replacement? How long? Any special tool? Can a non-mechanic do it easy? Any challenges in changing it over ? Can you replace the original if you sell the bike and want to keep it ?

Very easy to install , the hardest part is the top spring . I used some nylon string and used a screwdriver to make a t-handle and just pulled them off . Sprayed the rubber bushings with silicone . Lossened up the front clamp an pull the cat off . I did one by backing up a car ramp and jacked up the first one hope this helps . I did keep all the OEM parts to put back on when selling .

This thread is all over the map and is mind boggling. I'm staying stock. Red flags should go up when you watch Lamonster's video where he says, "This part is recommended for off road and tuning and testing purposes only." Quite a disclaimer. A little bit of legaleze going on there.

Sounds perfect to me--I had the Cat delete installed with the BRP Akrapovic chrome straight shot--it was too loud for me plus it lost low end power. I reinstalled the Cat with the Akrapovic & it's exactly what I want. I even tried installing two (2) baffles with the Cat delete & it sounded terrible--not just loud--loud plus terrible :-(

that would be on the 2008-2012 they are very aggressive.)n the 1330 RLS Exhaust has a few option for great sound and performance look at the Full exhaust options i have on rlsexhaust.com use one of my cat delete pipes with the 2 stage baffles and accompany it with the Crusher series exhaust for a great sound and look .469-878-5166 if anyone has questions 2 videos attached one with just the exhaust and the has the cat delete and exhaust installed
