• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lost Reverse

On Mon when trying to back the bike into the garage it wouldn't go into reverse.
Took it into the shop today.
The shop notes. Rubber boot/proactive cover cracked and falling apart on rev. Actuator allowing dirt and debris inside causing actuator to stick.
The shop cleaned and lube. Reverse works some of the time and have the parts on order.
This is under warranty.
The last few rides have been during typical October northwest washington weather so plenty of moisture and dirt on the road.
Bike is an 2011 Rt with 14k miles.
Sure hate to have to be limited to riding the bike only during dry road conditions.

Seems to me..!!

that once they replace the protective boot you should be good to go. Have not heard of this issue and there are a lot of your model ryding in similar conditions. Something is affecting the boot you may have to spray it from time to time with armorall or WD 40....:dontknow:

It's possible road debris got in there and messed it up...

or a critter decided it might be tasty :)
