There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. lost passenger side grill cover

Wife and I went for a ride last night but before we left I noticed my passenger side black plastic grill cover was gone and now you can see the cooling fan. I know its probably not a big deal but would like to replace it with either a nice used one or need help with a part number so I can order one. Our Spyder is a 2012 Limited. Its hard for me to imagine it just fell of but never the less its gone and I'm left with now just a hole. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me out!

There is no grill cover on the right side. The fan has always been visible. A lot of us have had this "problem."

Your kiddin me right? I would have sworn there was a cover or grill on there. Wow I feel like a real idiot. I would have thought that I would have noticed that by now as many times as I have wiped it off and applied polish to it. And to think I just noticed it last night, amazing! Well I thank you for setting me straight. And I guess I can quit looking for one huh? Thanks bunches. ps. I still think there should have been one there although.

When I first noticed the issue on my 2008 I called the dealer about it. He said no right side grill. I even made a "spy mission" trip to the dealer to check out the showroom Spyder--no grill.

Also missing on my 2009, 2010, and 2011. 2014 is in the shop today so can't verify that one for you.

Welcome to the "no grill club." :roflblack:

Yup know the feeling. Took in for 600 mile service. Called dealer after getting it back and wanted them to check in service dept. to find my missing cover. :opps:

2014 has a grill cover and a plug in the lower fairing.
Previous years do not. Except for my own 2010 with a grill that I fitouched into place.
In my opinion, the 2014 grill looks great. The plug is cheesy.

Here is the 2010 version.

I'll try to get a shot of the 2014 later.

I feel your pain...lol...this sounds like one of my wild goose chases.

What's even more weird, is that if you look at the sales brochure for 2013, it shows a 2013 RT with the grill in place. That's the picture I showed my dealer when I asked them to get me one because it was missing on the Spyder they sold me. :opps:

If you don't want to alter a 2014 grill to fit, you can buy one from ESI Cycle Products. It's metal and thinner than the OEM one on the other side, but from two feet away they both look alike. It's a quality piece. I actually like this one better than the original. Here's a picture of it on my Spyder, from my "farkles page". You can get a matching one for the lower vent hole too, but I just left that vent open.

Little checking..!!

I believe you can get grilles for there from our sponsors. But it is an add on and will cost you. None of the models come with the right side grille on the V-Twins anyway. I guess there is logic in it somewhere...they have grilles everywhere else..!! :dontknow:

I fell for the same last summer after a long ride into PA. Came home and told my wife we must have lost the grill cover. :-)

That is because the 2013 WAS supposed to be the 2014 but the engine wasn't ready. That is why the frames and suspension are the same. That is why we '13 owners have the heat issues. Considering all the problems they are having with the 1330 it seems they still don't have it ready, JMHO
