• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The other day a friend of mine posted on FB that he traded his Triumph Rocket3 for a Spyder, all his friends started to joke with him about it since the rocket is a monster of a bike and the rocket is a 3 wheeler, it was all in good fun, i decided to join the fun and i posted "nice girls bike" (even tho i like my wife's spyder and i ride it a lot more than she does  and i will be buying another one withing the next month for me}, like i said it was all in good fun.
He sent me a nasty message saying that only an ahole would replay with something like that and he was erasing me from his friends list.
I sent him a message apologizing big time and explaining that it was all in a fun way and i had a spyder and was going to buy another one, i mentioned that my intention was never to offend him, i waited for the replay,,,, and waited,,,,and waited,,,, and still waiting, :sour::(

The thinner the skin.....the easier it is to draw blood. Knowing you from your posts here, no doubt it was in good fun. You have apologized. Just give him time to heal. If he's a true friend, he will come around.

If you can't take and give a little poking best not hang out with me... we do like to laugh.

Might have been something else that set him off and if he never comes back it won't matter.

It is very hard to show "intention" or feelings in print. This is why I very rarely go on facebook or other social media. Spyderlovers is the only one I interact with.

Apparently, you didn't use a "happy-face" with your comment...

Boy oh boy, he wouldn't make it in our hunting camp. If he is a good friend he will come around. May just be embarrassed. Stay tuned.

drive the spyder over to his place and ask him if he wants to go for a ride? wear a dress of your wife's and give him a good laugh!:roflblack::roflblack::yikes:

He was not really your friend if he was that offended especially after you told him is was all in good fun and you never meant any harm, move on life is short.

If I did not have thick skin I would be dead meat.. Just ask,:chat: Lamount, ron, Doru, Dave01 and a great many more.:roflblack:

Sometimes our comments can come back to bite. I agree with the others. Beyond an apology there is not much more that you can do than wait and see.

I think you guys are right, if i have to think about what i'm going to say in front of somebody for the fear of offending him,,,,,,, it would be a very boring friendship!

Again, though, had it been done in person, it may have been very different. I had what was meant to be a joke fall very flat and upset some people very recently because there is no tonality or body language. If you personally know them, it might be a good idea to show up, on your spyder and explain in person.
