• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Lost A fellow member today

I am so saddened by this...

Butch you are one of the reasons I enjoy Spyder ryding so much. Paula and family my prayers. This has not been a good week...first a 14 yr old girl that I have known since birth drowned and now Butch....makes me understand, even more clearly, that this truly is the only moment any of us have...and to embrace and cherish each and every person and moment. Yep I'm dang sad at this news..:pray::pray: for family and others...

I'm new to the Spyder Family, so I've not personally got to know the members of this forum; but this story makes me tear up. Butch is now riding the Golden Highway. Condolences to his family.

This is so tragic. I've met Butch and Paula, but don't know them well - or I do because they are so approachable and friendly. This is truly heart-breaking news. :(:(

never had the pleasure to meet butch or paula, but they seem like family when people talk of them on spyderlovers. it is obvious they have touched a lot of people. may the memories be your strength in his loss! prayers to all of his family!:pray:

Always saddened to hear of these tragic events. RIP to Butch, a man I wish I had met but never got the chance, and deepest condolences to the family from my wife and I.

Paul and Jeanne

Sad enough to hear this anytime, but today of all days. Our prayers go out to Paula, the girls and Butch's family. A sad day indeed.

This is an extremely sad day for all Minnesota Spyder ryders near and far. We've lost a great ryder, friend, leader, companion, man. He's one of those guys that welcomed you immediately with a warm smile and firm handshake. His laugh was contagious. We will miss him dearly. All my prayers go to his wife Paula, his family, and kids. Cya when I cya my brother
