There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loose nut on rear tire

We found a loose nut on the inside of the rear tire while wiping it down before a ride. It just spins like it's stripped. Took it to the local dealer and they are looking into it. Has anyone else had this happen?

Glad you found it. That is the main reason I like to hand was all my bikes. I can't tell you how many times I've found a loose bolt or a broken bracket. This is a v-twin and a v-twin will vibrate the darnedest things loose. Remember lock-tight is your friend. :doorag:

Didn't know tires had nuts! :joke:

Seriously, glad you found it. 1 loose nut will always attract others! ;D

Ok, I'll stop now.

it's not stripped - there is a locknut behind it. the wheel must be removed from the bike and the sprocket removed to access the nut.

That sucks.... anyone have pics of this nut? ::)

;D
I picked up my Spyder from the Dealer. They removed the rear wheel and tightened up the hub nut and used alittle lock-tight...now I'm good to go! They feel it was a fluke from BRP. Everyone just missed it somehow. Now I'm back on the road...lookout!

I purchased one of the first Harley V rods. I trailered it home and discovered the front tire was leaking and would go flat in about 24 hours. I went to remove the wheel to locate the leak and found that the bolt securing it to the forks was only finger tight !! Had it not been for that leaking valve stem I hate to think what might have happened if the bike was rode. Motto to the story is "don't depend on bolts being torqued correctly by anyone other than yourself"
