• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loose mirrors

Have had my rt about a week now. I have noticed the mirror housing on both sides seem to be loose. They do not appear to be so loose that they will fall off. But the do have about a half inch of play up down and left right. Is this normal, if not how can it be fixed.

Thanks,

Kevin

Mirror

If they are mounted like the 2011 it's just a little wire braket that holds them on. They were probably forced on at one time.
While holding the mirror in hand tap up and out on the bottom. When it's off you"ll see the wire braket on the back just pinch them together then reinstall. Just be a little easier going back on.
That should do it or go back to service deparment and have them checked.
Hope this helps Gary.:)

Sounds like a little much. Are they bouncing when you go down the road, or do they just move when you wiggle them? If they are steady down the road, they are likely fine. The next time you have the mirrors off for maintenance, you can straighten the metal wires for the clips and they will hold better (for a while). If you are bending the wires every time you snap themirrors on, a tiny bit of lube on the outside cone of the clip knob can help...or you may have to refine your mirror attachment technique. If you are worried about it, or the mirrors wiggle and blur, mention it to your dealer.

Well my thanks must go out to all the good people of this forum  ! I with shaking hands removed my mirror today to find both clip very bent. Got them straight and with not much effort got it re-installed. A lot tighter now, not much play at all. Thanks again.
