• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's time the wife and I get out on the road again. I was looking into the 2013 RT S SE5, but after reading all the problems and recalls with this years models should we wait till next year model comes out or is BRP good at taking care of all their problems.
Not new to riding, been on a bike of somekind for over 55 years. I know of all the recall problems of all the bikes I have owed. (The worst being the 1973 AFM Harley Sportster. LOL)
Just have never dealt with BRP.

Welcome. The current round of discounts on the 2013 ends today so if I were you I would wait the 2 weeks until they unveil the 2014 and then make your decision.

Dealer

It appears the key to Happy :spyder2:ownership is the Dealer! Check with other owners in your area for some tips. Some here on the forum have issues with the 2013 model while others do not. I know in my case is was all about $$ and picked up a clean (2,000 miles) 2010 RT-S. New 2014 models out soon - be interesting to see what BRP has in store for us?

I would also recommend waiting to see what the 2014's unveiling has to offer. A good dealer that has an up to date service department is also a big issue IMO. Should you choose a 2013, I am guessing even greater discounts will be available shortly. Good luck in your hunt for a :ani29:. As others have said, the shopping is half the fun.

:welcome: As others have mentioned, probably the biggest key to happy :spyder2: ownership is the dealer. Fortunately, one of the dealers which Spyderlovers members have found to be above average is West Coast Powersports in Clearwater, FL.

Looks like..!!

the "wait and see's" have it. After that they will have new offers on older models..!!

With the new 2014 RT coming out, I'd expect deep discounts in the 2013's. I heard, yesterday, that one dealer in MD was knocking $5,000 off the price of 2013 RTs to get them off the floor for the 2014s.
