• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for the "boot" that goes around the antenna.

OK, I have spent at least half an hour on cheapcycleparts, browsing the various fiche, I can NOT find the boot. :banghead:

I have checked the various body panel fiche, I have checked the various electrical (accessories) fiche, I simply can not find the boot. I also did not find a general search area where I could put in the part name, but then, I don't know exactly what it's called, either, so it probably doesn't really matter.

On the other hand, if someone happens to have a spare boot, I would be happy to buy it from you, but I would still like to at least find where the darn thing is in the parts listing.

Cheap Cycle Parts and BRP show the same price, $17.49, for PN 708302047.
Thanks, guys. I don't know how many times I looked at those pictures, I just did not see it.
Maybe if I had bothered to look down the list of all the parts and had seen "Antenna base", but that's not what I would have called it.

If this is the one you're looking for PM your address and I'll ship it out tomorrow.View attachment 184334
Thank you very much for the offer. PM is sent.

Welcome to the world of BRP's "you get to exercise your ingenuity" parts catalog. Consistency in documentation and parts nomenclature is not one of BRP's more stellar characteristics. They also often use terms that don't make sense. I don't remember what they call a microswitch, but it is not microswitch.

Boor arrived today. Installed it, it fits perfectly.

I had no idea there were two versions of the boot. The one I received has about a 3/16" hole for the antenna. The CB antenna is about 1/4", so a little WD-40 in the hole and it slipped right on, providing a nice, tight seal.

The (apparently) stock boot on the AM/FM antenna has about a 3/8" hole, which fits nicely over the bottom of that antenna.

Thanks again.
